Leafboi’s Random drawing Session!

Just thought i’ll share with you guys a little experiment i tried out:

Sketching on paper > Tracing on Computer > Coloring on computer

Took me sometime to do it… But i still can’t do tones yet (T-T). FireWorks is truely amazing!

Yay! Back from the Cosplay Event [Cosfest VI : The Golden Experience]

Man… My legs was tired after standing for a few hours. Wait… what happened to the chairs?

Well, you can’t be sitting down at the Cosfest! You’ll be missing all the action(cosplayers) that are walking around!

This year’s event was more lively compared to last year’s event, i see characters from Bleach, Naruto, Chobits, Rozen Maiden, Suzumiya Haruhi, Ouran High School Host club, and more…

Gundam cosplayers seems to be lesser compared to last year. All i ask for is just 1 decent Lacus that’s all ^__^.

Oh yeah… that Sure i took some of them, but due to the fact it’s a phone camera it’s a bit blur, here ya go!

Out of our group of 5, Anthony took some pictures too, i think is much clearer, think he will post up later at his blog.

Got to admit it’s cool swinging your own home-made weapon around. I just want one of those katanas *drools*

Bought 2 magazines at the booths, 1st and 3rd issue of Fresh Mode (Read more about Fresh Mode here).

Clips from last year’s World Cosplay Summit was shown too.Our Singaporean contestants was rather kawaii and was singing an anime song. But one of the entries took me off surprise , it was a japan entry, cosplaying gundam seed. Below was what happened in my mind.

Me: Hmm… Kira from gundam? But why is he doing random poses? It’s not totally matching the bgm.

Background song changes to Vestige.

Me: Eh? Don’t tell me this entry is just some guy don’t random pose? I mean it’s a japan entry! And such a nice song too, what a waste…

A (guy in a) Strike Freedom Gundam appears.

Me: LOL! I didn’t expect that!

Smokes starts coming out from the suit.

Me: ROFL! That’s totally cool! Japan is cool…

Singapore didn’t win… But hey, that was last year! Maybe we will win it this year!

Almost forgot! I stayed till they announced the winner of this year’s cosfest! The two that are going to represent Singapore in the World Cosplay Summit 2007: Sakura Wars Team! (All the best! Ganbatte!)

Ah… I wanna cosplay too, but i don’t have the commitment to do so, me and my short attention span. (T-T).

Why have such a thing in the first place?

Because there are sites that stubbornly need you to register to before you can view anything, well registering may not be such a big hoo-ha, your mailbox might get spammed with different adverts telling you how to be great in bed to alien is in your backyard? LOL

Just got back from the cosplay event at Nee Ang City.

Cosplay (コスプレ, kosupure?)

     A portmanteau of the English words “costume” and “roleplay”, is a Japanese subculture centered on dressing as characters from manga, anime, tokusatsu, and video games, and, less commonly, Japanese live action television shows, fantasy movies, or Japanese pop music bands. However, in some circles, “cosplay” has been expanded to mean simply wearing a costume.

      In Japan, “cosplay” as a hobby is usually an end unto itself. Like-minded people gather to see others’ costumes, show off their own elaborate handmade creations, take lots of pictures, and possibly participate in best costume contests.

Sorry guys, i didn’t bring a camera (Nooo…..) Plus i didn’t have my specs T-T, so i can’t really see the stage clearly.

This would be the fourth time I’m went to such an event, but i must say this is the first time i saw metal detectors and policemen at the entrance. O_o|l Then i saw the banner that mentioned Mr Lee Kuan Yew as the guest of honor. Well, he is an important person…

I found this sitting in my mailbox:

A paypal scam, a phisher created a exact duplicate of the paypal’s website, so when you log in at that site the login ID and Password will be sent to the phisher.

To think i almost fell for it, until I remembered my paypal email was another address.

Had that problem with MegaUpload always telling you “All slots are used up for your country”?

Worry not! I found this method to be working! Yay!

Note: FireFox must be Installed for this method to work, get FireFox (I got a link on the left navigation bar ) if you have not installed firefox.

1. first step would be type about:config in the address bar

2. Type general.useragent.extra.firefox in the filter box

3. Double click on it.

4. Type this in the box Firefox/2.0.0.4 MEGAUPLOAD 1.0

5. Press Ok and you’re done!
